Susan Doig embodies Excellence in Empowering Learning. Doig, director of facilities for Capilano University, is an extraordinary sustainability ambassador for the University and a role model to students and employees to be sustainable in all of their activities. She has inspired five collaborative workplace learning positions for students (called CapUWorks), that focus on building community, conservation and climate change awareness. She established an annual waste audit that provides students with a transformative learning opportunity, while improving service delivery and reducing waste management costs.
