  1. #adulting: Life of the Party — Capilano Students’ Union’s #adulting series presents a workshop on harm reduction strategies. When you’re at a party and your friend goes down, what do you do? You have seconds to act. Come learn what you need to know when someone overdoses. You will also learn about available drug testing and overdose kits. Monday, January 30

EarthWorks: Screening of the film The Perfect State — Co-producer Rob Butler answers questions about the film, which looks at the lives and livelihoods of the people connected to the natural world of the Salish Sea. EarthWorks is a lecture, film, and field trip series with an environmental stewardship and interdisciplinary flavour hosted by Capilano University. All events are free and open to everyone. EarthWorks is an ambitious initiative spearheaded by students, staff and faculty from the University’s Biology, English, Geography, Liberal Studies, Tourism and Outdoor Recreation programs and beyond.   1. ChatLive: Designing University Learning Experiences — ChatLive presents “Designing University Learning Experiences: A Better Way” with Jocelyn Hallman, a Teaching & Learning Librarian. ChatLive is a series of informal, face-to-face discussions over lunch (FREE PIZZA!) where you can explore interesting ideas with other students.   1. Basketball: Capilano University Blues vs. CBC Bearcats — The Capilano University Blues men’s and women’s basketball teams host the CBC Bearcats on Thursday, February 2 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Come out to the Sportsplex and support the Blues!
